Mumbai Indians were crowned the Indian Premier League champions last year for the third time but the spark has been missing this season.

It was a big night for Mumbai Indians whose mentor Sachin Tendulkar was celebrating his 45th birth anniversary but Sunrisers Hyderabad were not ready to give up even after getting bowled out 118.

If the batsmen failed, Hyderabad bowlers put their hands up to condemn Mumbai to another defeat this season.

We only have ourselves to blame, says Rohit Sharma after humiliating loss vs SRH

Chasing a paltry 119 to give Tendulkar a perfect birthday gift, Mumbai were bundled out for 87 to suffer their fifth defeat in six matches so far in the XIth edition of the IPL.

Barring Suryakumar Yadav’s 34 and Krunal Pandya’s 24 not other Mumbai batsmen reached the double digits as the third best scorer for the Mumbai was Kieron Pollard (9).

Sunrisers’ Afghan spinner Rashid Khan roared back to form bowling 16 dot balls including a maiden in the death overs to finish with 2/11 from his 4 overs. Siddarth Kaul too was lethal with his 3/23.
